OpenOffice Report Execution

Enable OpenOffice users to publish their reports to the BI platform and then run them.

The report engine in the OpenOffice reporting plugin is the Pentaho report engine.

There are several pieces to this project:

  • Create a BI platform component that will run an OpenOffice report and send the resulting document through an output stream.
  • Enable the data source for the report to have parameters.
  • Create a plugin for OpenOffice that allows users to publish reports to the BI server from their desktop. Familiarity with OpenOffice.

This documentation is maintained by the Pentaho community, and members are encouraged to create new pages in the appropriate spaces, or edit existing pages that need to be corrected or updated.
