Relationship of Gifts Given/Received on Revenue

The Trellis Chart is a layout of smaller scatter plot charts in a grid with consistent scales. Trellis Charts are useful for finding the structure and patterns in complex data. The grid layout looks similar to a garden trellis, hence the name Trellis Chart.

Working With Trellis Charts

     

 

  1. Drag an attribute into the "Data Points" shelf of the layout panel to define which members you wish to plot.
  2. Drag an attribute into the "Color By" shelf to define how the plotted values should be color coded.
  3. Drag two or more measures you want to compare into the measure shelf.
     


  • Click-and-drag to lasso select items to highlight those values and corresponding values in the other charts in the matrix.
  • You can also take an existing highlight window and drag it around to highlight other areas of the chart.
  • You can also select the 'show Table' option in the Layout Panel (Chart Properties section) to display a table of currently selected data points in the Trellis Chart
